Haruka Yonezawa 

Jazz Saxophist/Composer/Arranger

 

Haruka started playing the piano and saxophone at the age of 15.

 

She attended the Shenandoah Conservatory in VA. Through the years, Haruka has been fortunate enough to study improvisation and composition with Luis Hernandez, Craig Fraedrich, Robert Larson, and Alan Baylock.

 

 

In May 2015, she graduated from the Shenandoah Conservatory, receiving a Jazz Award. She opened her private studio and started to work as a saxophone instructor.

 

In 2019, Haruka graduated from George Mason University with her Master's degree in Arts Management. She has been playing the saxophone at various venues in the DMV area such as the Brixton, Epicure Cafe, Blues Alley, and others.
